I had a late night last night, spending the time between 2:30 and 4 am trying to get my friend Matt to accept that making abortion illegal would be terrible for society and woundn't reduce abortions. I'm really upset that he is pro-life and has misconceptions about the pro-choice movement, oh, and he will never be affected by abortion legislation yet still wants to make them illegal.

And I can't just let it go - this issue is too important to me. I really wish that people would stop caring so damn much about abortions. They are a side effect of the real problem - sexism AND poverty. Focusing on this one procedure doesn't help, I wish that people would stop threatening Roe v. Wade so that feminists could get some real work done.
